Julia Molitor-Justen and Dr. Daniel Molitor do everything quite differently when vinifying the Stairs n’ Roses "Ohrenschwein" from the Roter Müller-Thurgau grape variety: mash fermentation in an open vat, natural malolactic fermentation, and 18-month maturation in small barrique barrels – winemaking typical of red wine, but with white wine grapes. The result, the spicy Stairs n’ Roses Orange Wine "Ohrenschwein", is also "somehow different".
